Annual totals are sums of the twelve published monthly figures (Department of Lands and Surveys, 2018 to 2025).1234567 In 2025 Paphos accounted for 19.7% of the 18,114 contracts deposited across Cyprus (3,567 ÷ 18,114).7

EU and non-EU buyers in Paphos#

The Department's foreign-buyer table counted 246 Paphos properties with registered contracts to buyers from outside Cyprus in September 2026: 97 to buyers from other EU countries and 149 to buyers from outside the EU (Department of Lands and Surveys, September 2026).9 Set against the 345 contracts deposited, that is about 71.3% (246 ÷ 345); the two tables count different units, so the share is approximate.79

From January to September 2026 the table counted 2,117 Paphos properties under contract to foreign buyers (809 EU, 1,308 non-EU), against 1,654 (584 EU, 1,070 non-EU) in the same months of 2025, a change of +28.0% (Department of Lands and Surveys, January to September 2026).89 The Department publishes no domestic-buyer column, and the foreign table counts properties rather than contract documents, so a domestic figure cannot be found by subtraction.

How this is calculated#

Monthly figures are the Paphos cells of the Department of Lands and Surveys contracts-of-sale PDFs, read unchanged into the network's data store; they count contract documents deposited, not properties sold. Annual totals are the sum of the twelve monthly figures. Percentage changes are later period / earlier period - 1, rounded to one decimal place. Foreign-buyer figures come from a separate Department table that counts properties, so they are compared with the all-buyer count only as an approximate share. The 2026 figures are provisional and can change when the Department re-issues its file. The Pancyprian series is on the Cyprus contracts of sale page. The sourcing rules for official statistics are set out in how Cyprus Property Prices sources official statistics.

Next official release: October 2026 figures; the Department of Lands and Surveys does not announce a release date.
